Ptuj-Style Stephanie Roast

Preparation process

Boil four eggs so that you keep the yolk liquid (boil slowly for about 6 minutes) and place them in cold water. When they cool, peel them.

Place the patty between two sheets of baking paper and flatten it slightly. Roll the flattened patty around the egg and form a ball.

Pour flour on the first plate and add a little water, beat two eggs in the second plate and add a little salt and put breadcrumbs on the third plate. Bread the ball by rolling it first in the flour, then the egg and finally in the breadcrumbs.

Repeat the process with the remaining eggs and patties. Slowly fry the balls in hot oil for about 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve them with potato puree and a seasonal salad.
